The producer sure seems to be in a happy space as far as his shows are concerned.
Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi had a tough time with the TRPs on the channel, but worked immensely well across digital platforms. Being a finite series that it was supposed to be, the show was pulled off air leaving the viewers heartbroken. But, with all the love that it received, the show was back within a few days with a second season, this time for a short period of 6 weeks.
Along with that, another Yash Patnaik show Ishq Mein Marjawan starring Arjun Bijlani, Aalisha Panwar, and Vinit Raina went on air that occupied a time slot of 7:30 pm. While it is the content that is what sells, TRPs do matter, and we at India Forums quizzed him about a couple of things.
When asked about the low TRPs due to the OTTs and digital platforms for the channel, he said, “I want both the viewers to watch it, and I want them to watch it on both the places. This is challenging, but it also increases the spread of your content, when you have a digital option.”
Talking about the slot, he also added, “With Ishq Mein Marjawan at 7:30 pm and Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi Season 2 at 7:00 pm, I think the audience will be able to come to the show easier than a later slot.”
The first week of Ishq Mein Marjawan fetched decent TRPs with a 2.1 points, while those for ‘Kuch Rang…’ season 2 are yet to come.
