A writer-director has filed a complaint
TVF CEO Arunabh Kumar has been accused of a serious sexual harassment case.
An anonymous blogger reported about her experience and it went viral. The news took a storm and over 50 other cases were brought to light.
The only reaction from Arunabh was a question if there is a police case registered against him, so that he can reply legally.
Now, another victim has come forward and registered a case against him at Versova police station, Mumbai.
On March 29, a 27-year-old writer-director lodged an F.I.R. at the MIDC police station alleging that Kumar touched her inappropriately and even made indecent gestures in back in 2016 while shooting a web series.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (DN Nagar division) Arun Chavan confirmed to a leading daily about the F.I.R registered by the woman who was employed under the TVF CEO.
He said, “The victim has worked under Kumar and she claimed that he misbehaved with her. A case under IPC section 354 (A) (sexual harassment of the nature of unwelcome physical contact and advances or a demand or request for sexual favours) is registered against Kumar with the Versova police.”
TVF had denied all the allegations and had said that it would ‘leave no stone unturned’ to find the author of the article and bring themselves to justice.
