After the successful completion of Desi BCL, the franchise was all set to rock the US but due to some unavoidable circumstances, has now been rescheduled to November.
Actor Ajay Chaudhary, whose company Paragon Entertainment was handling and hosting the entire league overseas, told, “I feel so unfortunate that it happened as everybody was so excited about it. We worked so hard for it, the venue and the tickets were booked, everything was on the go and we were waiting for the visas.”
“Getting a US visa is hard enough as it includes a lot of paperwork. Half of the people are yet to get their visas, so we had to postpone the trip. We did everything that we could have done but things were not in our hands. We are starting the process again and BCL will go international. And let me clear it out loud the show is postponed but not canceled.”
The organizers managed to get performance visas for about 15 actors but the deal was of 50 actors. Due to visa issues, the petition approval came in last week for the performance visas and then the organizers applied dates for visa interviews. But the earliest date they got was 29th July and the show was on the 30th, which was obviously an impossible task for any team to reach and perform.”
Anand Mishra adds,”Huge losses were incurred due to this postponement. Now, it is scheduled for November post Diwali. It takes about three months for the petition to approve and visa to arrive. We don’t want to take any more chances again.”
